Yale New Haven Hospital is a level I trauma center and the flagship nonprofit academic teaching hospital for Yale School of Medicine. There are four emergency departments: the main campus at 20 York Street in New Haven which has both and adult and dedicated pediatric emergency department, the St. Raphael's emergency department on Chapel Street in New Haven, and the freestanding Shoreline Emergency Department in Guilford CT.
